There’s a new opportunity out there for nurses to work prime locations and secure the pay they’re looking for and here at TravelMed, we‘re seeing a trend. Although Florida remains a very competitive market for travel contracts, there are ways that you can make yourself more marketable and attractive to a potential employer.
Many hospital systems in Florida are more quickly securing travelers that are willing to work between multiple campuses throughout the week and throughout their contract. This kind of flexibility allows the hospital to not only ensure coverage of their units but also ensure you get the hours you need each week – or even overtime if you want it!
Most hospitals are running short and management seems to be approving the use of travelers more willingly if they can spread out the budget. They may not have the hours to take on more than one traveler so instead of sacrificing patient care or overloading their in-house staff, a traveler with flexibility to move between facilities can offer the relief they need.
Flexibility also offers perks. For a qualified traveling veteran, this is an excellent opportunity to negotiate a higher rate and get to the beautiful sunshine state through the winter. It’s always nice to have the upper hand when it comes to contract negotiation.
We have multiple opportunities available in all different disciplines. If you’re interested in being considered for a contract opportunity at one of our hospital systems here in Florida, please feel free to contact me.
